so, erm but recycling has to be a very controlled affair. Wear and tear in plastics can produce very adverse results...And other hazards that also deter me from fully accepting the idea of the 3R

street rallies, bicycles parades, green concerts, essay and poster competitions in schools, tree planting, recycling efforts, clean-up campaigns and much more. In many countries, this annual event is used to enhance political attention and action

Gold Coast- The 'do!' will showcase environmental products and solutions, and will feature fantastic music and live performances, childrens' activities, market stalls, gourmet food, an art gallery and government and industry representation. The 'do!' is a free, family celebration, and is held on the banks of the beautiful Currumbin Estuary on the Gold Coast. It is a wondrous and wonderful celebration of community, environment and culture, and is a focal point in our remembering that 'what we do changes the world!'

I think Singapore should also use paper bags instead of plastic bag. AUSTRALIA, Adelaide can do it why can't we? I believe we have the abilities to do so, so i hope that Singapore's markets can use paper bags. That is an excellent idea. I think they do this in Sri Lanka as well.

What do all of you think of using paper bags instead of plastic bag??? Disadvantage is that it is most likely to burst due to heavy weight. I think that paper bags break more easily than plastics one and paper bags can't last for long. Those paper bags may attract unwanted pests like sliverfish. This might be one of the reasons why people do not want to use paper bags
